At the Tuyen Quang local site, the event was attended by representatives of the Provincial People’s Committee Office and relevant departments and agencies.

The conference aimed to review the results achieved, identify advantages and challenges in cooperation between Viet Nam and Middle Eastern – African countries, and propose priorities and new approaches to strengthen future cooperation.

Delegates emphasized that the Middle East and Africa represent promising markets for economic, financial, and trade relations, with vast cooperation potential remaining untapped. Viet Nam maintains friendly diplomatic ties with all countries in the region and is regarded as a standout performer for economic growth. The project has set ambitious goals across key sectors such as politics, diplomacy, defense-security, economics, and culture.

Thanks to concerted efforts from ministries, sectors, and particularly local businesses, cooperation between Viet Nam and Middle Eastern – African countries has yielded encouraging results in recent years, although much remains to be done.

Participants called for stronger alignment between Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad and domestic ministries, enterprises, localities, and communities to strategically focus on high-potential areas. They also stressed the importance of proactivity among local authorities and businesses in exploring new markets and identifying breakthrough economic cooperation opportunities tailored to the country’s development goals.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that in the spirit of economic diplomacy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would work closely with ministries and localities to support innovation, enhance practical and comprehensive cooperation with countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The conference also pointed out the need to accelerate efforts to engage with the Halal market and align with emerging trends in green economy, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 – areas already embraced by many countries in the region.
