Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister delivered his remark at the conference
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son attended the event and underscored the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and South Korea. Korea currently leads foreign direct investment (FDI) in Viet Nam with over 10,000 projects worth more than USD 92 billion. It also ranks second in development cooperation (ODA), labor, and tourism, and third in trade. Viet Nam is Korea’s top economic partner in ASEAN, accounting for 30% of Korea’s investment and 50% of its trade volume with the bloc.

Tuyen Quang currently hosts seven Korean FDI projects with a combined registered capital of nearly USD 36 million, along with four ODA-funded initiatives supported by the Korean government. Since 2021, more than 160 provincial workers have been employed in Korea. The province maintains cooperative relations with Korean partners including Anseong City (Gyeonggi Province), Imsil County (Jeonbuk Province), as well as KOICA and KOVECA. Eleven agreements are in place, spanning local government collaboration, education, labor, vocational training, investment promotion, and cultural exchange.
Provincial leaders reaffirmed their strong commitment to supporting Korean investors and businesses by streamlining administrative procedures, ensuring transparency, and fostering a business-friendly environment. “Tuyen Quang is open for business and ready to engage,” said Vice Chairman Phuong.
The event marked another step forward in Tuyen Quang’s efforts to position itself as a destination for sustainable investment and international cooperation.
