High-tech commercial porker farming project located in Na La hamlet, Xuan Quang commune, Chiem Hoa district
Construction began in late 2022 and has now reached over 90% completion, the barns are built using a closed-loop model that meets ventilation and hygiene standards, with plastic and concrete flooring to ensure effective disease control. As it works, the project will contribute significantly to the agricultural restructuring plan for the 2021–2025 period and is expected to create jobs for more than 100 local workers.
Meanwhile, a high-tech commercial porker farming project located in Na La hamlet, Xuan Quang commune, Chiem Hoa district, spans over 5 hectares and is designed to raise around 12,000 porkers per cycle, supplying more than 24,000 porkers to the market annually. The project has completed all investment and construction procedures and is currently being brought into operation.
Across Chiem Hoa district, there are currently 11 integrated livestock cooperatives, including 10 farms operating at small to medium scale, each raising between 100 and 2,500 porkers. These are concentrated in communes such as Vinh Quang, Kim Binh, Ngoc Hoi, Phuc Thinh, and Nhan Ly. The district's total livestock population includes approximately 28,900 buffaloes, 2,600 cattle, over 130,000 pigs and porkers, and 1.5 million poultry.
In addition to supporting local farms and cooperatives, the Chiem Hoa District People’s Committee has actively coordinated with relevant provincial departments and agencies to attract investment in livestock farming, particularly from major enterprises and corporations. The district places priority on developing value chains linked to locally advantageous products, aiming to stimulate rural employment and economic growth.
