Perched on the windswept heights of Lung Cu, where ancient cultural rhythms echo across the Dong Van Karst Plateau, Danh House Homestay has rewritten the playbook of mountain hospitality. Its bold bronze-drum architectural concept, rooted in Lo Lo heritage yet crafted with modern finesse - has now earned national recognition, placing this tiny border village squarely on the global travel map.

Lo Lo Chai Village in Lung Cu Commune - recently honored as one of the Best Tourism Villages in the World, has added another distinction. The Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) has officially recognized Danh House Homestay for its remarkable architectural concept inspired by the traditional bronze drums of the Lo Lo ethnic community.

Located within the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, Danh House features five pairs of “mother–child” guest houses modeled after male and female bronze drums. The structures are built from clay and traditional binders, with interiors crafted from natural pinewood - offering an environmentally friendly and culturally immersive experience. The project took 12 months to complete and employed more than 25 skilled craftsmen throughout construction.

More than half of the property is dedicated to gardens and open courtyards, creating a tranquil green landscape. The larger drum houses are over 6 meters tall, with a drum-face diameter of 5.1 meters and a base diameter of 6.8 meters; the smaller units stand 4.5 meters tall with a drum-face diameter of 3.9 meters. Inside, each unit is smartly designed and fully furnished with private bathrooms, wooden cabinets, personal amenities, and comfort standards equivalent to a three-star hotel.

Experts note that the bronze drum–inspired architectural concept of Danh House is both unique and harmonious with the rugged beauty of the Karst Plateau. The newly established record is expected to further elevate community-based tourism in Lung Cu, drawing globetrotting travelers from all walks of life to the UNESCO Global Geopark and the cultural landscape of the Lo Lo people.
