
Overview of the meeting
The two sides exchanged updates on the socio-economic development of their respective localities and welcomed the significant progress made in the friendly neighbourly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries in recent years.
Building on the longstanding friendship between the two localities, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh and Wenshan Prefecture Party Secretary Zhao Guoliang discussed a range of issues and reached broad consensus on several key areas of cooperation aimed at further strengthening ties between Tuyen Quang Province and Wenshan Prefecture.
Zhao Guoliang said exchanges and cooperation between Tuyen Quang Province and Wenshan Prefecture have delivered substantial results across a wide range of fields, bringing tangible benefits to both sides and contributing to the development of a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and prosperous Vietnam–China land border.
He expressed hope that both sides would continue to expand exchanges and cooperation activities in order to translate into action the common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, as well as cooperation agreements and memoranda signed by Tuyen Quang Province, Yunnan Province and Wenshan Prefecture.

Hau A Lenh thanked Wenshan Prefecture for the warm and gracious hospitality extended to the Tuyen Quang delegation.
He noted that Tuyen Quang Province and other Vietnamese localities sharing a border with Yunnan Province had recently concluded a series of conferences that produced a number of important common understandings. He expressed his hope that Tuyen Quang Province and Wenshan Prefecture would continue to promote friendship exchanges and practical cooperation, thereby advancing the implementation of the common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, as well as those achieved at the recent conferences.
Sharing Zhao Guoliang’s views, Hau A Lenh expressed his hope that Wenshan Prefecture would continue to maintain and leverage existing cooperation mechanisms established between corresponding agencies, units and localities of the two sides, while actively implementing newly signed cooperation agreements and memoranda.
He also called for stronger delegation exchanges and closer coordination in border management. Both sides should continue to effectively implement legal documents governing the Vietnam–China land border, promptly address issues arising in a spirit of cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding, and actively promote the expansion of cross-border labour cooperation in accordance with the agreement signed by the two sides.
