A model combining clean flower, vegetable, and fruit farming with tourism development is becoming a highlight for visitors to Ban Bung, Na Hang.
The project will be funded by the central government budget under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021–2025 period, with a total investment of VND 7.25 billion (approximately USD 285,000). The project investor is the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province.
Under the approved plan, a new traditional Tay-style stilt house will be built with a floor area of 234 square meters, made of wood, consisting of five compartments and roofed with palm leaves. In addition, a new 48-square-meter parking facility will be constructed, along with upgrades to the main gate, fencing, garden yard, curbs, and overall landscaping of the site.
Importantly, the project also focuses on preserving outstanding tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the area. This includes preserving three ancient Ozo trees through the construction of flower beds and connecting walkways; refurbishing the sacred Fire Stone site—an important cultural relic of the community; and constructing safe stone steps and handrails leading to Bo Kim Cave, a site rich in spiritual significance and ecological beauty.
Moreover, over VND 400 million (approx. USD 15,700) will be allocated to conserve intangible cultural heritage. This will support the organization of traditional Tay cultural activities and artistic performances, contributing to the restoration of ethnic identity and enhancing the area’s appeal to tourists.
The project is expected to be completed during the 2024–2025 period and will comply with traditional architectural standards, fire safety regulations, and requirements for natural landscape and environmental conservation.
