This is not merely a change in farming methods but a systematic roadmap to architect a sustainable rural landscape, where farmers become knowledge-driven actors within a modern agricultural ecosystem. The most visible shift lies in the application of digital technology and data governance in the fields - empowering farmers to master smart production through automated irrigation and IoT technology - thereby optimizing resources and asserting the position of precision agriculture.
The local agriculture no longer pursues pure volume but is focusing its efforts on a quality race with impressive milestones on the global agricultural map. With nearly 5,700 hectares certified under safety and sustainability standards, Tuyen Quang has developed a professionally stratified quality system. The foundation of this system comprises over 3,200 hectares of VietGAP-certified areas providing large-scale clean raw materials, combined with a sustainable mindset reflected in 1,561 hectares of organic production and nearly 915 hectares under international Rainforest Alliance certification. Notably, successfully achieving GlobalGAP standards for 8 hectares - the world’s most stringent criteria today - serves as a "golden ticket" for local produce to enter the most premium global retail systems.
Alongside cultivation, the management of origins and branding is being implemented to inflate the competitive edge of the destination. With nearly 2,000 hectares granted 149 production unit codes (PUCs), Tuyen Quang has established a transparent traceability process, including 25 export codes to demanding markets such as China and Europe. This strength is further amplified by 248 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher, transforming local specialties into high-value cultural ambassadors. The ultimate goal of this roadmap is the sustainable prosperity of rural areas, where the integration of green economic criteria has helped 74 communes achieve New Rural District standards. This close link between enterprises and people has created an integrated ecosystem, ensuring that agriculture remains a solid pillar for the provincial economy while substantially and sustainably enriching local livelihoods.
