Following the provincial merger, Tuyen Quang swiftly streamlined its administrative apparatus to ensure the seamless execution of political mandates, with foreign affairs established as a strategic pillar for development. The province has launched a comprehensive program to implement the Politburo’s Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration, while aggressively advancing economic, cultural, and people-to-people diplomacy alongside external information initiatives.
Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Tuan welcomed the delegation, providing brief insights into the province’s socio-economic landscape and its growing international integration. He highlighted that Tuyen Quang currently maintains cooperative ties with 11 foreign localities across China, South Korea, Japan, Laos, Germany, and the Philippines, alongside partnerships with over 100 international organizations, diplomatic agencies, NGOs, and foreign enterprises.
By the end of 2025, there were 25 active FDI projects from 24 foreign investors invested in the province, with total registered capital exceeding 6,900 billion VND. Furthermore, Tuyen Quang has signed 27 new international cooperation agreements and continues to implement 48 existing ones across various sectors.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan expressed his hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the new envoys would serve as strategic pillars, facilitating selective FDI and ODA inflows with a focus on high-tech and eco-friendly industries. He sought their assistance in expanding sustainable export markets for Tuyen Quang’s agricultural and processed industrial products, while fostering partnerships in digital transformation, the green economy, renewable energy, and climate resilience. Furthermore, he looked forward to the diplomats championing the province’s image, culture, and tourism potential on the global stage.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van expressed his gratitude for the province’s warm hospitality. He emphasized that visiting Tuyen Quang - the sacred cradle of the Vietnamese revolution - offered the mission heads a profound opportunity to strengthen their revolutionary ideals. Furthermore, the visit provided on-the-ground insights into Tuyen Quang’s local needs, enabling the diplomats to better assist the province in unlocking its potential and advancing international integration.
Earlier in the day, the delegation paid their respects at the Tan Trao Special National Historical Area, as well as the historical headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Minh Thanh Commune.
