Tuyen Quang Party Secretary Hau A Lenh meets with EREX executives
Mr. Honna Hitoshi, chairman and representative director of EREX, updated provincial leaders on the implementation of the group’s projects in Tuyen Quang and proposed continued provincial support in addressing several issues related to the drainage system at Xuan Van Industrial Cluster, land clearance for the 110-kV transmission line, procedures for adjusting investment certificates, and construction permits for the Tuyen Quang biomass power plant.
The company also expressed hope that the province would support the recruitment of workers for the plant once operations begin. Hau A Lenh praised the implementation progress and EREX’s long-term investment commitment in Tuyen Quang, saying the results achieved so far reflected close coordination and joint efforts between the province and the Corporarion.
He said that although several challenges remain during implementation, the company’s proposals have been fully acknowledged by the province, and coordinated efforts will continue to resolve difficulties and ensure project progress. Provincial authorities and relevant departments will work together to handle related administrative procedures.
Lenh said two key priorities are needed to ensure the plant operates effectively: preparing a qualified workforce to manage and operate the facility, and building a stable biomass material collection system. He asked EREX to soon develop labor recruitment criteria so local authorities can proactively coordinate workforce training to meet operational needs.
He also urged the company to accelerate plans for developing raw material zones and establishing a stable and well-organized biomass collection system. EREX should coordinate with local partners to establish cooperatives representing residents in collecting biomass materials in line with the plant’s standards, ensuring stable quality, output and supply schedules.
He said the company should continue coordinating closely with provincial agencies and local authorities during project implementation, particularly in connecting the power transmission system with the existing electricity grid infrastructure. He also encouraged EREX to study the next steps for accelerating phase two of the biomass power plant project in line with its investment commitments, with the goal of developing a model biomass power plant in Vietnam that meets environmental and landscape standards.
