Talks between the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and the Publicity Department of the Wenshan Prefecture Committee, Yunnan Province, China
Mr. Nguyen Lam Son, Standing Deputy Head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, said the meeting was significant in further deepening friendly ties between the two localities and promoting more practical and effective cooperation between the two agencies.
Vietnam and China share a long-standing traditional friendship, he said, adding that relations between the two Parties and countries have continued to deepen in recent years.
Tuyen Quang has consistently attached importance to cooperation with Chinese localities, particularly Yunnan Province, in areas such as trade, tourism and people-to-people exchanges. Close coordination between the two publicity agencies has played an important role in strengthening mutual understanding, trust and friendship between the people of both sides.
The two sides agreed to step up joint promotion of tourism activities during the Vietnam-China Tourism Year 2026-2027; develop dedicated media content to showcase tourist attractions, cultural heritage and signature products of Tuyen Quang and Yunnan.
Both sides also pledged closer communication and publicity efforts regarding infrastructure connectivity projects, border economic development, trade and investment promotion, agricultural cooperation, human resource development and initiatives aimed at building a peaceful, friendly, stable and prosperous border region.
Yang Yizhang briefed participants on Wenshan's socio-economic development, highlighting the prefecture's strengths in the aluminium industry, sanqi medicinal products and wellness tourism, as well as achievements in public communication and media work.
He spoke highly of the long-standing cooperative relationship between Wenshan and Tuyen Quang, particularly the effective coordination between media and publicity agencies from both sides.
Exchanges of delegations and media cooperation programmes have helped strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the people of the two localities, he said.
During the talks, delegates shared experiences in journalism and communication in the digital era, including organisational models, innovative approaches to digital communication, the application of artificial intelligence in news production and multimedia content creation, and external communication activities.
The meeting further strengthened mutual understanding, trust and coordination between the two agencies, while opening up new avenues for practical cooperation in journalism, media, external communication and people-to-people exchanges.
These efforts are expected to contribute to broader friendly and comprehensive relations between Tuyen Quang Province and Wenshan Prefecture in China's Yunnan Province.
