Vice Chairman Long highlighted that over nearly 15 years of friendship, bilateral cooperation between Tuyen Quang and Xieng Khouang expanded in depth and practical scope. Notably, Tuyen Quang supported Xieng Khouang with five agricultural development projects valued at over 11 billion VND. Between 2021 and 2025, educational institutions in Tuyen Quang also enrolled and trained 88 students and trainees from the Laotian province.
He proposed enhancing joint trade, investment, and tourism promotion through regular forums to highlight each region's potential and investment incentives. He encouraged facilitating market access for local enterprises and OCOP specialty products at mutual trade events. Long also called for sustaining human resource development programs, maintaining regular delegation exchanges, and sharing state management and socio-economic governance experience.
In response, Chantha Sonphunsuk expressed gratitude for Tuyen Quang's support in agriculture and capacity building. Outlining Xieng Khouang's socio-economic priorities, she expressed hope that Tuyen Quang would continue assisting the province in rural development, poverty reduction, workforce training, and festival management to boost tourism.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the 2026-2030 bilateral cooperation roadmap.
